Dan, his wife Kelly and their son, Mike are Nevada residents. They are a family of happy MOPAR enthusiasts, led by a man in love with his 1972 Dodge Challenger. Dan has been working on that Challenger for quite some time. Luckily for Dan, his wife and son got hold of Overhaulin’; they told Chip, A.J. and Chris about Dan’s car. Dan’s Overhaulin’ would prove to be beyond special, taking place at the giant SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The plot would quickly thicken in the prank department; the adventure started as Mike supposedly lost Dana’s car by way of a pink-slip derby. Chris played ‘C.J.’, the guy who won Mike’s car in a race. But with Mike’s car damaged, ‘C.J.’ decided he would help himself to Dan’s ‘72 Challenger. At first, Mike was too scared to tell Dan that the car was taken by way of a race. Instead, Dan was told it was stolen. Days into the build, Mike told his shocked father the story of ‘C.J.’ and the race. Dan was stunned. Meanwhile, Chip and the A-Team were making the ‘72 amazing before the crowds at SEMA. Soon, Dan agreed to a police sting to nab ‘C.J.’ the truth brought Dan to SEMA and his dream car.
