Chip & AJ/Trading Places

As Chris did in a previous episode, A.J. took the designing reigns from Chip Foose and helped the A-Team create a masterpiece for an Overhaulin’ mark. The car was a 1963 Mercury Comet, and the owner was Megan. Megan’s mother Michelle worked as an insider the entire time. As A.J. made decisions on every inch of the car, Chip co-hosted the show with Chris, creating a job-swap that made for one very memorable Overhaulin’.

Prank-wise, it was quite a week for Megan, as her mom brought the car to an incompetent shop for service. Reports came to Megan that her rusty car had dropped a transmission on an auto worker (played by Chris). Chris then set out to sue the girl, with the help of audio system builder, John; he played Chris’ attorney for the week. As the pranks soon reached a fever pitch, the Comet came together, in spite of a mountain of rust and decades worth of decay. In the end, A.J.’s hard work paid off, as she saw the beautiful finished Comet. Megan received the Comet after a blowout of a prank where Chris bargained to drop his lawsuit for a date with Megan’s mom. That led to the truth, and that led to the big reveal.
