1996 two-door Chevy Tahoes are rare machines; so says Derek. He owns just such a ride. He also spent a week fooled by both his girlfriend Irene and the joking, building, crazy, pranking crew at Overhaulin’. Irene, along with Chip, A.J., Chris and the A-Team took Derek’s ‘96 and blinged-it-out royally. It all happened as Derek was led to believe that the vehicle was towed for parking problems at the condominium complex where he lives.

As the pranking took place, the Tahoe was given one of the largest, most powerful sound systems ever put into an Overhaulin’ vehicle. The Chevy also received a custom paint job that once again brought together the unique talents of Chip Foose and airbrush artist extraordinaire, Mike Lavalee. Once the ‘96 was ready to be returned, Chris played an inept worker who ended up returning the wrong vehicle to Derek. With the mistake made and Chris vowing to find Derek’s Tahoe, a conversation took place; one where Derek discussed wanting to fix up his ‘96 and how lucky people are on shows like Overhaulin’, comparing such luck to a lottery win. Chris then told Derek that he has won that lottery.
