Search & Rescue

Matt is an “A” honor student of a teen who is training for a career in Search and Rescue. He’s sentimental about his ride; his grandfather’s old ‘88 Chevy truck. With our host Chris posing as a tow truck operator, we plucked the truck from Matt, telling him that he had too many tickets. This kid has no tickets, but his dad Jim calmed Matt down -- Jim said he’d take care of matters. Jim is also our insider, and that week; Jim rebuilt the truck with Chip Foose, Roger Willis, Shane Boulay, Josh Reasoner and racing legend Robby Gordon.

As the week went on, our hidden cameras caught Matt as he started to “learn” that the tow operator is a car thief -- the truck is gone for good. Host Courtney then phoned Matt. Posing as an insurance executive, she asked a few dozen personal and ridiculous questions. Once the truck was radically tricked out into a so-cool Search and Rescue emergency wagon, Matt received an invitation to tour Robby Gordon’s Speed Shop. It’s there and then that Matt saw the truth: his old brown ‘88 was now an incredible flames-on-black masterpiece.
