Overhaulin’ is the TLC series that tricks the owner while tricking out the car. Co-hosts Chris Jacobs and Adrienne "AJ" Janic double as repo men, tow truck drivers and other pranksters to lure the keys away from the unsuspecting car owner, while auto designing legend Chip Foose and his crack team of fabricators and engineers perform surgery on the vehicle. With the help of an accomplice (the owner’s father, son, girlfriend or co-worker, for example), the Overhaulin’ team finds a creative way to separate the car from its owner – whether through a fake impound, photo shoot, or other means. The Overhaulin’ cameras follow the twists and turns of the parallel process of both keeping the car away from its (sometimes surly!) owner – and the creative ways the team manages to do it – while following the renovation process of the vehicle.
