FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Burbank, CA -- (June 19, 2006) Among car restoration shows, TLC’s runaway hit show, Overhaulin’, has consistently stood above the crowd, and as Overhaulin’ begins its fourth season, expect fresh and exciting new episodes mixed in with diabolical pranks and celebrities as you’ve never seen before.
The show’s creator and Executive Producer, Bud Brutsman, pulls out all the stops on this new season and promises that the surprises keep coming, and Episode 401 premiering at 9 PM on Tuesday, June 20th delivers just that:
Artist, musician, soccer player, and all-around nice guy, Manuel, is being taken for a ride: but it’s not in his precious and rare 1968 Oldsmobile 442. Manuel’s going to be taken for the ride of his life by a sneaky gang of mechanics who’ve somehow convinced him to part with thousands of dollars with promises of restoring his 442 into a Mean Machine. See what happens as this nice guy is pushed to the edge with the help of Chip Foose, Chris Jacobs and A.J. (Adrienne Janic) and the entire Overhaulin’ team.
Along with beginning a new season, Overhaulin’ has been nominated for several awards for excellence in television programming and was recently named Winner of the 27th Annual Telly Awards, which honors outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. Winners and Finalists represent the best work of the most respected production companies, television stations, cable operators, and advertising agencies in the world. With a 26-year history of recognizing creative excellence, the Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected international competition.
Overhaulin’s sister show, Rides, was also honored as a Finalist at the Telly Awards. Expect these award-winning shows to continue their high level of entertainment, world-class story telling and car restoration; and tune in to TLC for all new episodes of Overhaulin’ at 9 PM starting on Tuesday, June 20th, 2006 (*).
